This Video of Charli XCX Holding Poppers Saying 'Gay Rights' is Iconic
Charli XCX said gay rights!
The singer posted a video to Instagram of her holding up poppers she later signed for a fan and saying “gay rights” — one of those weird things the internet can’t ever seem to get enough of. Well, the poppers part is new, but getting celebrities to say gay rights is a trend that doesn’t wanna quit.
But while some celebs seem a little confused or hesitant to just randomly shout out a phrase for the camera, Charli XCX was all too happy to comply. And honestly we’re not sure this was even for the fan, the poppers may have just inspired her beyond measure.
“This is iconic tbh,” she tweeted in response to the fan’s photo of the signed poppers later.

She's not wrong.
And the video itself has fans and fellow singers alike shouting in glee.
“SHE SAID GAY RIGHTS!” King Princess wrote in response.
“Charli threw the first bottle of poppers at stonewall!!!!!!!” said one user.
Another added: “singlehandedly ended homophobia.”
While that might be just a tad bit exaggerated, Charli has long been a supporter of the LGBTQ community and a true gay fave. And now we have this iconic video to commemorate her super casual queer-friendly stance for all of eternity. Gay rights!
