Miley Cyrus Seen Kissing Kaitlynn Carter, Splits from Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split! …again.

While it’s not the first time the couple has called it quits, this time comes eight months after they tied the knot. And it looks like Miley may already have found a new romance to keep her busy.

The singer was photographed locking lips with Brody Jenner’s recent ex, Kaitlynn Carter, in Italy.

A source told People the two were “just having fun” on vacation, rather than engaging in anything serious. And hey, we all know sometimes you gotta blow off steam after a big break up, so maybe that’s the truth.

Even though Miley and the younger Hemsworth were only married recently, their relationship has been a lengthy rollercoaster. The two began dating around 2009, got engaged for the first time in 2012, broke up in 2013, and the two reunited with an engagement possibly back on in 2016. Their secret wedding happened in December 2018 after their home was destroyed by the Woolsey Fire, and they made it eight months before announcing their split.

“Ever-evolving, changing partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” a rep for Cyrus told People. “They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart.”

Earlier this year, Miley gave a frank interview to Variety about how important it is for her to still identify as part of the queer community despite being in a “hetero relationship.”

“Being someone who takes such pride in individuality and freedom, and being a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve been inspired by redefining again what a relationship in this generation looks like,” she said.
