Mel B Admits She and Geri Hooked Up During Early Spice Girls Years
If you grew up a ‘90s kid listening to the Spice Girls, you’re well aware that the relationship between Mel B and Geri was notably hot and cold. They went from BFFs to there being rumors that clashes Mel B was why Geri wound up leaving the group.
Well, we’ve just found out that there was a whole other dimension to that relationship!
In an interview with Piers Morgan (ew, we know), Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice finally admitted that she and Geri hooked up during the group’s peak years.
“It was just that once,” she said. “And hopefully when Geri gets asked that, which hopefully she will after this, she won’t deny it. Because it was just a fun thing.”
The admittance came after a LOT of pushing from Morgan, who asked Mel B repeatedly whether she and and Geri ever took things to that level before she finally confirmed the encounter to his satisfaction.
“Did it go on for awhile? Were you in love?” he asked.
“We were best friends,” she said. “It just happened.”
Sporty Spice aka Mel C was in the audience during the interview, and claimed she knew nothing about the two hooking up.
The Spice Girls (sans Posh) are set to go back on tour in the UK shortly, so this is, um, an interesting time to drop such a bombshell.
"She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband," Mel B said. "But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it."
And will we be overanalyzing every moment of their interactions for the rest of time? Come on, is the Pope a Catholic?
