Billy Porter's 'Love Yourself' Gets the Celebrity Lip Sync Treatment
Truly a gift to the world.
Billy Porter’s single “Love Yourself” just reached all new heights with a star-studded lip sync music video.
The newly released video features everyone from Porter’s Pose co-stars to Lin Manuel Miranda to even ‘80s icon Cyndi Lauper. The separately filmed lip syncs have been cut together to create a fun and fresh tribute to the self-love anthem, which originally came out earlier this summer.
“What a gift it is to be celebrated by my peers and afforded a moment for me to reflect…how blessed I feel to have lived long enough to see this day,” Porter tweeted. “Thank you everybody! Thank you for listening! The category is…LOVE.”

Porter has had a busy Christmas, and an even busier 2019. This year alone, the Pose actor won his first Emmy, got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and made headlines more than once with his fabulous outfit choices. Not to mention, he was featured on Idina Menzel’s recording of “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” and the two released a video for the Christmas collab just in time for Thanksgiving.
Next year will see the Broadway star take on the role of Cinderella’s fairy godmother in a brand new take on the classic fairy tale. But, knowing Porter, that will only be the tip of the iceberg for this tour de force.
And leading into the new year and new decade with this celeb-filled tribute to a song that embodies everything Porter stands for seems a fitting send off for one hell of a 2019.
