Cara Delevingne Posts Adorable Birthday Message for GF Ashley Benson
Ashley Benson’s birthday was this week, and after the message left for her on Instagram by girlfriend Cara Delevingne, we can’t help but love this adorable couple even more.
The Pretty Little Liars star has been partying it up for her special day for the last week, hanging with friends and posting videos from her Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen themed birthday party. And as inquisitive fans kept asking why Cara wasn’t around for any of the celebrations, Ashley shared that she had to miss out because of work (season 2 of Cara’s show, Carnival Row, is currently in production).
But Cara still made sure to post an extra-special message for her gf on Instagram, a rarity for this couple who has largely kept their relationship private and off of social media.
“There is so much I could say but something I love and cherish most about us is that I don’t need to because YOU KNOW and that’s all that matters,” she wrote. “It’s you and me which is my favourite. My safe place.”
“I feel like I’ve known you my entire life and I am so proud of watching you grow into the woman that you always dreamt of being.”
Cara also shared a series of photos of Ashley, including one of them in the bathtub together and one of them holding hands.
Though Cara undoubtedly gets major girlfriend points for this super cute public display of affection, she wasn’t the only one to break a habit of privacy to wish Ashley a happy birthday. The reclusive Olsen Twins sent Ashley a birthday for her video after hearing about her themed party and it’s…well, it’s something.
Happy (belated) birthday, Ashley!
