Karamo Brown Can't Decide Whether He's Friends With Sean Spicer
We're getting whiplash here.
Karamo Brown may have gotten booted from Dancing With The Stars at the end of October, but the drama surrounding the comments he literally can’t seem to stop making about Sean Spicer is still going strong.
“I was nice to Sean Spicer,” Brown said during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. “But there was no friendship. I was just saying that, if we’re going to be on the same show, I’m going to have a respectful conversation with someone who’s different from me.”
Brown’s denial of a friendship with disgraced former press secretary Sean Spicer comes right on the heels of him catching heat for, uh, saying he was friends with Sean Spicer.
ICYM the whole kerfuffle, it started when the Queer Eye star talked about how “excited” he was to meet Spicer when the cast announcements came through.
“Sean Spicer and I have been talking,” he said, explaining that he’s a believer in meeting in the middle to “learn about each other and help each other both grow.”
“He’s a good guy. A really sweet guy.”
People were less than thrilled, considering Spicer spent his whole time in the Trump administration blatantly lying to the American public, and the idea of pushing his pseudo-celebrity status by throwing him onto a popular reality competition hadn’t sat well with many people to begin with.
But Brown kept doubling down, even going so far as to tell the folks over at People immediately after his elimination: “Sean is literally someone who I would’ve never thought I could be friends with, and I’m going to walk away from here calling him a friend. I’m going to continue the conversation that we’ve had outside of this.”
Karamo, we have questions.
Rachel Kiley is presumably a writer and definitely not a terminator. She can usually be found crying over queerbaiting in the Pitch Perfect franchise or on Twitter, if not both.
