Zachary Quinto's recent attempt to use an alias in a Starbucks didn't go quite as well as he hoped.
When the openly gay Star Trek actor went in to grab a coffee during a break, he used the name Josh on his cup in hopes of not being recognized. No one called him out on it, but he wasn't quite as sneaky as he believed, and a girl sitting nearby snickered as she tweeted:
James Corden caught wind of the tweet and thought the story was hilarious:
Corden whipped out the tweet on The Late Late Show when he interviewed Quinto last night. Quinto chuckled recalling the story.
"When I'm by myself and I get a little nervous or self-conscious," he said. "Maybe people don't know me and I can go undercover. Clearly, that's not always the case."
Quinto recalls the girl who tweeted about him. "I remember waiting for my coffee and sitting down and this young woman was there on her laptop sort of snickering at me. But she didn't introduce herself. I would've said hi to her."
Quit joshing around, Zach.
