Caitlyn Jenner Tells Ellen She Used to Oppose Marriage Equality
Yesterday, Caitlyn Jenner and Ellen Degeneres joined forces for a special conversation about LGBT issues on Ellen's white couches. Ellen asked Caitlyn where she stood on marriage equality, since she is a Republican, and Caitlyn said:
But now Jenner does not feel that way. It's cool to see her acknowledge and own her opinions, instead of denying that she once had a position that may make people uncomfortable. Plus, who could understand the experience of shifting your views on LGBT issues better than Ellen?
This could be the reason Jenner avoids talk shows. Obviously, she's willing to go on Ellen, because Ellen understands what it's like to "come out" as a celebrity and deal with the public's questions.
