There was a big fat cat at the boxoffice this week as Alice in Wonderland repeated at the top spot with a massive $62 million second-week take, sending apologies to Matt Damon and his Green Zone, which finished with a disappointing $14.5 million purse. The romantic comedy She's Out of My League finished third and the Robert Pattinson starrer Remember Me came in fourth.

Former L Word star Sarah Shahi will be spending a lot of time on USA Network as the basic cable station has picked up Facing Kate to series. The show, which centers on Kate Reed (Shahi) a litigator who becomes frustrated with the bureaucracy and injustices in the legal system, jumps ship and becomes the anti-lawyer: a mediatory. A summer debut is expected. Are you excited to see more of Carmen on the small screen?

Are you looking forward to the second seasons of Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara? Prepare for a social network invasion with exclusive clips and more as Showtime prepares for the Emmys with a massive Facebook and Twitter campaign under the handle SHOgold. Speaking of social networking, the massive Facebook campaign to have former Golden Girl Betty White host NBC's Saturday Night Live has paid off. The octogenarian will host the show on May 8. She's also signed on to appear in the season finale of ABC's The Middle, which stars Patricia Heaton as a harried Midwest mom.

Over in pilot casting land, Summer Glau has joined NBC's superhero drama The Cape, where she will play Orwell, a blogger who goes after corrupt cops.

True Blood's lesbian vampire queen Evan Rachel Wood has been cast as Kate Winslet's daughter in the upcoming HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. Melissa Leo has also joined the cast as Mildred's (Winslet) "good friend." Winslet hopefuls, book your flights now: Production begins in April in New York.

Avatar babe Sigourney Weaver has booked her follow-up to the boxoffice smash: The former Aliens star will become a vampire queen in Vamps, a romantic horror comedy from Amy Heckerling, the writer behind Clueless. Vamps, which also stars Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter, revolves around beautiful vampires who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each must make a choice that threatens their immortality. In a related note, HBO's True Blood will return for its third season June 13 with 12 all-new episodes.

Speaking of Avatar, catch Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver on DVD on Earth Day, April 22, in 2D. A four-disc 2D release loaded with extras comes in November and finally a 3D version on Blu-ray arrives in 2011.

Glee beauty Jayma Mays — who plays adorable guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury on the rookie Fox musical dramedy — is reuniting with one of the show's famous guest stars: Neil Patrick Harris. Mays has been cast as Harris' pregnant wife in the live-action/animated hybrid remake of The Smurfs. Hank Azaria will voice the animated villain, Gargamel.

Over on the Billboard 200 album charts, Ludacris' "Battle of the Sexes" debuts at No. 1, sending last week's topper Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" to No. 3. Sade's "Soldier of Love" slides from No. 2 to No. 6 and Lady Gaga's "The Fame" continues its run in the top 10, dipping one notch to No. 8 this week. Dinah Shore headliner Ke$ha also dips a notch, to No. 14, and Taylor Swift slides three spots to No. 20 for the frame.

Looking to the weekend at the boxoffice, it's perhaps the biggest weekend of the year for lesbian moviegoers: Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning finally lock lips as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, respectively, in The Runaways, the Jett biopic based on the book by former Runaway Currie. And on the rare chance that you're not into the awesome rock 'n' roll tale, check out Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler in the action comedy The Bounty Hunter, or Chloe Moretz in the comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid or the sci-fi action pic Repo Men, starring Forest Whitaker, Jude Law and Alice Braga. But really. Go see The Runaways but look out for that opening scene!
