SheWired's Shot of the Day: Natalie Portman Goes Venus for Vogue

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Today’s shot / shots is destined to be the awards’ season ‘It’ girl Ms. Natalie Portman looking icily hot with shades of Victorian for Vogue.

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Well, we at SheWired have made an executive decision to just throw any of our pseudo-feminist caution to the wind and to just post our fave shot of the day, whether it be sexy, salacious, or just because...

Today’s shot / shots are of the destined to be the awards’ season ‘It’ girl, Ms. Natalie Portman, looking icily hot with shades of Venus for Vogue.

While Natalie has been making her mark in the movie industry since she managed to steal focus from the great scenery chewer Gary Oldman when she was just 12 years old in The Professional, this is Natalie’s year with her immersive turn as a psychologically fragile featured ballerina in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. And so far the critics are raving. As she's already up for an Independant Spirit, a NY and LA Critics' Choice and a Golden Globe for her the role -- and the Oscar noms have not even come out -- here's my narrative for Natalie's Vogue shoot, with photos by Peter Lindbergh.

Here's Natalie sweeping the room gracefully after sweeping the awards' season. Either that, or this is how I'd love to imagine she looked following her love scene with Mila Kunis.

This is Natalie giving smoking hot bitch face on the very off chance she does not hear her name called to the podium. (I'm kidding. I'm sure she is a lovely sport but it's fun to think about).

Finally, here's Natalie trying to look dignified after that fourth glass of Veuve Cliquot and the sixth our of awards at the Golden Globes.
