For women's music, no two words are better known than Lilith Fair.
From 1997-1999, the Sarah McLachlan-led tours helped put the spotlight on female artists including Sheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks, Indigo Girls, Sinead O'Connor, Jewel, Missy Elliot and Tegan and Sara.
And while it became one of the highest-grossing touring festivals in the world, with 1.5 million fans helping to raise more than $10 million for charities, there hasn't been anything like it since. Until now.
McLachlan announced via her Facebook fan site the first 18 cities that will host the festival next year. In addition, LilithFair.com also is back - with a new design, headlines, Facebook and Twitter links and a special download of McLachlan and Emmylou Harris performing "Angel" live at Lilith in 1998.

While no performers have been set, or dates confirmed, news is news. And for McLachlan fans, news of her hitting the road again is, well, better than ice cream. The co-founder of Lilith Fair hasn't toured since she hit the road to support 2003's "Afterglow."
And there's no better time for Lilith's return than now, as out performers including Tegan and Sara and Brandi Carlile have just released new albums.
So who would you like to see on Lilith's stage?
