Lesbian Couple to Visit TV�s �Off The Map�

The (other) ABC medical drama, Off The Map, will receive a visit from two familiar faces when a lesbian couple seeks treatment from the remote clinic after a paragliding accident in paradise.

AfterEllen.com’s Lesley Goldberg reports actresses Cynthia Stevenson and April Grace have been cast to play the couple. You may recognize Stevenson from TV credits including The L Wordand Dead Like Me, and Grace from memorable turns on Lost and most recently, Pretty Little Liars. Viewers may also remember Stevenson from her turn as the insufferable sister in Jodie Foster's classic Home for the Holidays.

The episode centers on the lesbian partners who embark on the trip hoping for a second honeymoon. Through the course of their treatment, AfterEllen.com reports it’s revealed one woman is more invested in the failing marriage than her partner.

“One of the women is clinging to the marriage more than the other one is," creator Jenna Bans told AfterEllen.com in January. "It’s a really nice metaphor for the medical story we’re telling with them and it ends up really affecting Ben (Martin Henderson) in his personal relationship on-screen with Ryan (Twilight’s Rachelle Lefevre)."

The episode will air just before the finale this spring on ABC.
