The Kids are Doing All Right at the Box Office - Again!

The Kids Are All Right, the acclaimed film about a lesbian couple dealing with a family crisis, continues to be a strong draw at the nation's box office, according to website Box Office Mojo.

In its third weekend in release, Lisa Cholodenko's well-reviewed dramedy starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore, added 163 screens and saw its box office take increase 148.8%. Kids has the highest per-screen average with $13,174 and to date has grossed $4,963,000.

While the thorny plot point involving Julianne Moore's character and the sperm donor played by Mark Ruffalo, continues to vex some audience members, the film is turning out to be the highest grossing film to feature lesbian lead characters.
