If you were excited at the news that the Gleeks from Fox's rookie musical hit are going to the White House for Easter, hold on to your hats and glasses and clear your social calendar for late May: Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Mercedes and the rest of the McKinley High Glee Club are taking a page from American Idol and going on a small, four-city tour in the summer.
Details for the rumored tour were announced Monday, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, tour stops are set for Phoenix, Ariz., Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City come May.
The "Glee Live! In Concert!" tour will include numbers performed during the first half of the gayest show on TV, including "Somebody to Love," "Don't Rain on My Parade" and "Sweet Caroline."
A review of the cast members set to participate on the tour quickly shows one major name missing: She of the bullhorn and matching tracksuits: Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester. So much for seeing Lynch in that zoot suit again! Or even on stage sporting Madonna's cone bra — as seen in the most recent teaser for the upcoming April episodes.
The rest of the cast, however, all appear to be on board: Lea Michele (Rachel), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Cory Monteith (Finn), Dianna Agron (Quinn) and our please-oh-please-let-them-be-lesbians favorites Naya Rivera (Santana) and Heather Morris (Brittany).
Tickets for the Glee concert tour will be on sale via Ticketmaster. So far, looks like only the L.A. and Chicago shows have presale information available: American Express card holders may buy tickets March 5-12, while the general public on-sale is set for March 13. Tickets range from $39.50 to $79.50.
