Gay and Lesbian Cook-Off: 'Top Chef' Invasion Livestream This Sunday 4:00-6:00 PST

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) will host a cook-off on Sunday with special guests and openly gay chefs Jamie Lauren and Richard Sweeney from Bravo Television’s Top Chef participating in a cooking challenge. Also hosting is gay celebrity Chef Paul McCullough, and judges are  Robert Gant (Queer As Folk, Save Me), Elizabeth Keener (The L Word) and Wilson Cruz (He’s Just Not That Into You, My So-Called Life), with special guests Thea Gill (Queer As Folk, Dante’s Cove), Carolyn Hennesy (General Hospital), Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy), Doug Spearman  (Noah’s Arc) and Trevor Wright (Shelter). 

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, will hold the Los Angeles event of its annual Summer Series on Sunday, August 23.

Special guests and openly gay chefs Jamie Lauren and Richard Sweeney from Bravo Television’s Top Chef will be participating in a cooking challenge. Lauren is currently Executive Chef at Absinthe in San Francisco. Sweeney is Executive Chef and Owner of WannaBChef.com and Executive Chef/Partner at ARC Hospitality.

The Top Chef Challenge will be hosted by openly gay celebrity Chef Paul McCullough, a former contestant of the Food Network’s The Next Food Network Star. Special guest judges include Robert Gant (Queer As Folk, Save Me), Elizabeth Keener (The L Word) and Wilson Cruz (He’s Just Not That Into You, My So-Called Life).

Additional special guests include Thea Gill (Queer As Folk, Dante’s Cove), Carolyn Hennesy (General Hospital), Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy), Doug Spearman  (Noah’s Arc) and Trevor Wright (Shelter).  

Guests will also enjoy food from Los Angeles restaurants including BLD, Paul’s Kitchen and Mightly Leaf Teas. Entertainment includes a special DJ Set by Dangerous Muse, a performance by Bailey featuring BOOM KITTY and music by DJ Joe Gauthreaux.
