Accompanying her on the stage at the packed Marriott Marquis were Jeremy Lister and Grammy Award-winning Rodney Crowell on guitar.

Following Wright's emotional performance, the attendees at the GLAAD Media Awards stood up in appreciation and clapped wholeheartedly. Wright appeared visibly moved with gratitude and wiped tears from her eyes following her set. She also spoke to the audience before and after performing Heavenly Days and spoke of feeling free and the acceptance that went along with taking the brave step to come out of the closet - especially in the Country music community.
Wright not only performed at the GLAAD Media Awards, she also walked the red carpet prior to her performance and answered questions directed at her by the media. Her accessibility and openness were commendable, especially for attending such a high-profile event right after coming out to the world.
