'Charlie's Angels' Redux: Back to the Small Screen

Did you love when Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu brought back the Charlie's Angels franchise? Do you secretly worship Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett? Which ever lady you crushed on, lesbians can look forward to a new batch. Our picks? How about: Eliza Dushku, Michelle Rodriguez, Summer Glau, Lena Headey, or someL Word alums?

Did you love when Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu brought back the Charlie's Angels franchise? Do you secretly worship Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett? Well Angels, prepare for a new job.

The sitcom that ran from 1976-81 is about to return to television. According to Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is close to giving the thumb's-up to a pilot order for a modern small-screen version of the show that made Fawcett and her fellow Angels household names.

To be executive produced by Barrymore and written by Josh Friedman (who adapted the Terminator movies into Fox's late Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), the pilot would mark the third attempt to revive the Charlie's Angels franchise. Series creator Aaron Spelling first made the attempt in 1988 with Angels 88. Following the big-screen series' success, Lost's Carlton Cuse and John Wirth were paid to pen a script, but like Angels 88, nothing came of that 2004 attempt, either.

A Charlie's Angels reboot seems like a natural fit considering the current TV remake craze. The Elizabeth Mitchell starrer V is a hit after just two episodes; the new 90210 is currently enjoying strong run for its second season (and has an upcoming lesbian story line); freshmanMelrose Place has a fresh new (old) face in Heather Locklear; and ABC has even green lit a remake of '80s big-screen Brat Pack hit St. Elmo's Fire.

So, Angels, who would you like to see answer to Charlie?

I hear Eliza Dushku is suddenly out of work.

Is Michelle Rodriguez too butch?

What about those Terminator babes - Summer Glau? Lena Headey?

Think L Word stars Laurel Holloman or Rachel Shelley would work?

Once we started, we realized there were a lot of lovely lesbian favorites sadly under used in bland Hollywood.
Even more babes we'd love to see kick-butt? How about the badass blond who made slaying so sexy: Sarah Michelle Gellar. Long before Sookie ever showed up, SMG had our hearts.
Can anyone else see fellow Buffy alum Amber Benson as a digital, high-tech specialist of the crew?
Young South of Nowhere actress Mandy Musgrave could really come into her own as a bombshell star of a big network show.
Lesbian and L Word actress, not to mention daughter of legend, Cybill Shepard, Clementine Ford would be our favorite Angel, for sure.
Who else can you see in the iconic ass-kicking roles?
