The Casting Couch, A Trade Round-Up: Glee, Toni Collette, Sophia Bush

In a week where TBS stuck it to Fox and Team Coco headed for basic cable the cast of "Glee," Sophia Bush, Toni Collette, the ladies of "Sex and the City" and Vera Farmiga lead this installment of the Hollywood Trade Roundup, a collection of hotties making headlines in The Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety.

In a week where TBS stuck it to Fox and Team Coco headed for basic cable the cast of Glee, Sophia Bush, Toni Collette, the ladies of Sex and the City and Vera Farmiga lead this installment of the Hollywood Trade Roundup, a collection of hotties making headlines in The Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety.

After a real clash, Clash of the Titans came out on top of the weekend boxoffice, besting that Justin Beiber-loving Tina Fey comedy, Date Night. The animated How to Train Your Dragon finished third, Tyler Perry's sequel Why Did I Get Married Too? Finished fourth and Miley Cyrus' The Last Song rounded out the top five.

As Lea Michele fans everywhere begin to join local singing groups, NBC has renewed its competition series The Sing-Off for a second season. Any lesbian groups forming out there? Can we get a little gay on this Glee-like show, please?

Speaking of Glee, the hit gayest show on TV returned -- after what seemed like the longest hiatus ever -- to massive numbers: 13.7 million viewers, a season high for the freshman show which gave fans a peek at Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester in all her "Vogue" glory. The Power of Madonna episode airs April 20. Plan your schedules accordingly!

You might have to wait a little longer. Fox and Universal have inked a deal with the DVD-by-mail company to stream more titles online. The price? Waiting 28 days before renting new releases. Avatar hits DVD and Blu-ray on Earth Day, April 22.

In addition, the Dollhouse creator also will be on rewrite duty for the upcoming big-screen installment of Captain America. Sign us up for some strong (and hopefully gay-leaning) lady superheroes! ... Speaking of Captain America, Hayley Atwell has been cast as the female lead opposite Chris Evans. The young actress, who appeared in Brideshead Revisited and The Dutchess, beat out bigger names who were in the mix for the hot role: Emily Blunt and Keira Knightley among them.

One Tree Hill super babe Sophia Bush has been cast in the ABC comedy pilot Southern Discomfort, which revolves around a father whose grown kids move back in with him. The pilot is in second position to her gig on One Tree Hill, which like Life Unexpected, is vying for one spot on the CW's fall schedule.

Want more Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda? No, we're not talking about the ridiculous trailer for the movie sequel to Sex and the City - but the sitcom you know and love will be returning to cable via E and Style Network, where they'll begin airing on basic cable in January.

Toni Collette has been cast alongside Ioan Gruffudd in the drama Foster, where she'll only have one personality: half of a married couple coming to terms with the death of their 5-year-old son while trying to adopt a young boy who appears on their doorstep.

Emily Rios (TNT's Men of a Certain Age) is joining the best drama you're not watching: Friday Night Lights. She'll appear in at least six episodes of the amazeballs show's fifth season where she will play a rebel goth girl. We're there! Friday Night Lights returns to NBC after its run on DirecTV in May. Trust us on this one and tune in.

Vera Farmiga, fresh off her Oscar nomination for Up in the Air, has landed her next gig: the Western A Thousand Guns, which centers on a preacher's wife and her journey of revenge.

Checking in on the Billboard 200, lesbians who look like Justin Bieber continue to buy a lot of albums: The tween phenom sold 102,000 copies of his My World 2.0 album and lands at the top of the charts. Lady Antebellum's Need You Now inches up a notch to No. 4, Monica's Still Standing holds at No. 6, Lady Gaga's The Fame moves up two to No. 7, Erykah Badu keeps her chonies on at No. 9 and Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet Tour" debuts at No. 10.

Looking to the weekend at the boxoffice, prepare to do some ass kicking! The comic book inspired Kick-Ass, starring Nicolas Cage and a youngster to watch, Chloe Moretz, along with McLovin' himself, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, open against Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Martin Lawrence in the remake of Death at a Funeral. In limited release, Demi Moore and David Duchovny star in The Joneses.
