First of all, I feel that I could write an entire piece about how misleading the title of this gem of a reality show is, but I’ll bypass that for now and write about the episode aptly titled “I Kissed A Girl.”
Brooke’s best friend, Glenn, seems to be having some relationship issues. He goes from guy to guy, and can’t seem to find the “right one.” Brooke, knowing best I’m assuming, decides that perhaps the solution to his problem is that he needs to go back to women – or as she so eloquently puts it: “maybe there’s still a little straight left in you.”
After about four seconds of protesting, Glenn decides that he’ll go on a date with a woman, but only if Brooke goes on a date with a woman too…I mean, that’s the most logical thing to do in this situation right? They also include Brooke’s friend Ashley in the mix as well, who when asked if she’d be in on the scheme too, she tastefully shrugged her shoulders and replied “whatever, I’ll go on a date with a chick.” Brooke’s response: “oh GAWD…eeewwwww.” Game, set, match!
I’ll fast forward through the tedious details of Brooke, Ashley, and Glenn trying to find each other’s dates, and skip to the really great part: the end of the night kisses. Poor Glenn endured the uncomfortable kiss from his date, Brooke ended up kissing her date at her doorstep, and Ashley got caught by the cameras … actually enjoying her kiss?
If the uncomfortable body space between them isn’t enough, Brooke had to roll by on her date’s motorcycle and scream “OH SHIT!”, so that kiss ended real quick.
In conclusion, it seems that Brooke doesn’t know best when it comes to other’s sexual orientation. As suspected, we all discover that Brooke, Ashley, and Glenn really do all like men. And contrary to what the girl’s kisses revealed, the only problem according to Brooke and Ashley was that “they weren’t dudes.” And what of Glenn? Brooke asks him “did she make out good?” to which he replies simply “…no.” Oh well. It seems that Brooke Hogan won’t be joining our team anytime soon ladies. At least we got to watch it all on glorious degrading VH1 reality television though, right?
