In case you were wondering, Miranda Lambert is not gay y'all! Numerous rumors lately have suggested that the country star is gay, pregnant and getting a divorce. Lambert felt the need to address the tabloid rumors at the CMA Songwriters Series in Boston on Thursday, according to Taste of Country.com.
“I’m not pregnant – I’m drinking – and I’m not getting divorced. And I’m not gay,” Lambert said, according to Indianapolis, Ind.’s RTV6. She added that country star Kip Moore is cute – and that her husband, The Voice’s Blake Shelton, knows about it.
Lambert was particularly candid as she talked about her 2007 single, ‘Famous in a Small Town.’ which has taken on a new meaning now that she and Shelton have settled in rural Oklahoma. “I’m in the tabloids ever week for being famous for something I didn’t even do, than for something I want to be famous for, which is playing my damn guitar and writing a song.”
The songwriter also told fans that a little Lambert-Shelton baby won’t be on the way anytime soon. “Everybody’s having babies right now and it’s freaking me out,” she said. “Something’s in the water. No way. I have dogs. A lot of dogs.”
