There are not many things that get me as excited as Mariska Hargitay in a new episode of Law & Order: SVU, but NBC has gone above and beyond with this season’s premiere by making it two hours and adding Paget Brewster now that she’s left her Criminal Minds days behind.
At the end of last season, Det. Olivia Benson (Hargitay) was about to deal with the chaos around the discovery of a dead hooker in the bed of Captain Cragen. This season brings investigating prosecutor Paula Foster (Brewster) to the scene, and she is not happy to find out that Benson got to Cragen’s crime scene before the cops.
Foster informs Benson that she will have to testify about whatever Cragen told her prior to the arrival of the cops at his grand jury. Check out this sneak peek from the upcoming premiere of Law & Order: SVU:
Law & Order: SVU’s two-hour season premiere airs Wednesday, September 26 at 9/8 c on NBC.
