LGBT Ally Sara Ramirez is a Married Lady!

It looks like Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez made her own fireworks when she tied the knot with her fiancé of a year, Ryan Debolt, last week on the Fourth of July. The actress has played bisexual ortho doc Callie Torres on Grey’s since 2006. And she's one half of “Callie and Arizona,” of one of the most beloved small screen female couples of all time.

It looks like Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez made her own fireworks when she tied the knot with her fiancé of a year, Ryan Debolt, last week on the Fourth of July, according to a statement from her rep, according to Showbiz Tonight.

"On July 4th 2012, after a year long engagement, Sara Ramirez and Ryan Debolt were married in an intimate ceremony in New York. The private event was attended by close family and friends,” Ramirez’s rep wrote.

The actress has played bisexual ortho doc Callie Torres on Grey’s since 2006. Her story arc led her to become one half of one of the most beloved small screen female couples of all time, Callie and Arizona, playing opposite Jessica Capshaw.

Ramirez stepped into her role as Callie about a year after she won the Tony Award for portraying the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot. Her Broadway chops helped pave the way for her to anchor the Grey’s cast in a musical episode entitled The Song Beneath the Song, which ended with Callie saying yes to Arizona's marriage proposal. Just a few months later Ramirez’s boyfriend Debolt proposed to her during a trip to Paris, US reported.

Ramirez has been a long time ally of the LGBT community lending her voice to fundraising for HIV / AIDS organizations including AIDs Project LA’s AIDs Walk and participating in GLAAD’s “Be an Ally” PSAs.

Congratulations to Ramirez and Debolt.
