We fully admit we’ve been a tad remiss with our shots of the day. It’s become more like Shot of the Whenever Something Strikes Us lately, but the new issue of Vanity Fair has reminded us of just what started this whole Shot of the Day thing to begin with. VF’s latest issue features the women of television, and on the cover, between the sheets are The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies, Homeland’s Claire Danes, Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara and Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery.
If that weren’t enough to get the narrative juices flowing at could have gone down at the photo shoot, the inside offers Bones’ Emily Deschanel, The Good Wife’s Archie Panjabi, Revenge’s Emily Van Camp, Shameless’ Emmy Rossum, Scandal’s Kerry Washington, Two Broke Girls' Kat Dennings and Hawaii Five-O’s Grace Park.
We’re fully aware that there’s an inherent problem in giving women of the small screen their due while putting them in lingerie. Still, it’s a hot photo, so let the lesbian fan fiction begin. We already have Archie brushing Emmy’s hair while Emily D. gives Archie a shoulder rub!
