POWER UP’s Annual Power Premiere Awards honoring the Amazing Gay Women and Amazing Gay Men in Showbiz will take place this Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Eden in Los Angeles. Power Up is the only non-profit, volunteer-run gay studio in Hollywood. The organization aims to promote the visibility and integration of gay women, and now men, in entertainment.
The 2011 Amazing Gay Women and Men in Showbiz honorees are Katherine Brooks, Dan Bucatinsky, Jessica Clark, Brickson Diamond, Lesley Goldberg, Oliver Goldstick, Alex Goldstone, Sunny Hodge, Kevin Iwashina, Laura Karpman, Michelle Knudsen, David Levine, Donald Martin, Denise Pleune, Tracy Ryerson, Patty Schemel, Haviland Stillwell, Blair Taylor and Kirkland Tibbels.
Confirmed celebrity guests for the event include Lisa Kudrow, Chaz Bono, Kate Walsh, Erin Kelly (Loving Annabelle), Kacy and Cori (The Real L Word), Freddie Smith (Days of Our Lives), Michelle Clunie (Queer as Folk), Claire (The Real L Word), Kristanna Loken (BloodRayne, The L Word), The Dollyrots and host Sandra Valls!
Tickets for the event can be purchased here. The awards start at 7:30 pm, with red carpet arrivals from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
