Among the heavy hitting cast of the indie feature Angels Crest, Private Practice’s Kate Walsh and Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern portray a lesbian couple in the film about a small town in the Rocky’s that’s thrown into upheaval over the senseless death of a young boy.

A hit at the Tribeca film festival this year the film is directed by Gaby Dellal and stars Jeremy Piven, Mira Sorvino, Thomas Dekker and Lynn Collins.

Earlier this year Walsh told the Advocate the following about portraying the film’s no-nonsense lesbian character:

"I loved the character, and the relationship between her and her partner was really interesting to me," Walsh said. "There's humor in how she’s an artist and kind of gruff and no-nonsense. It’s a really beautiful film."
