3 Zodiac Signs Who Are Pickiest About Who They Date
Shutterstock
Settling is such a dirty word when it comes to relationships. After all, if you are ultimately looking for the person you want to spend your life with, don't you want them to be a good fit? Preferably a soul mate? And to find that kind of person you need to have boundaries and standards. You need to know what works for you and what doesn't and feel free to hold that line, rather than be with someone who doesn't treat you the way you desire and deserve to be treated. Someone who makes you feel love and loved.
That being said, literally no one is perfect and if you're waiting for that, well you just may be waiting a very long time. It’s ultimately about balance. Finding someone who fits you and who of course is respectful and loving. It's also about finding the flaws you can live with, for some that kind of compromise comes easily, for others not so much — and for some in the zodiac, it can be downright impossible. These are the signs who are naturally independent and comfortable being on their own, but who also hold themselves to (impossibly) high expectations — so of course they expect the very best in their partners as well.
If you feel like you never meet anyone who is quite up to your standards, or find yourself ending things with partners over the smallest of things — while your friends stand by in utter shock — well, chances are you're one of the following signs who are the pickiest, and most rigid about who they are open to dating.
Virgo (Aug. 23 — Sept. 22)

Virgo is the critic of the zodiac, they have very firm ideas about how things should best be done and can be a little judgmental when things don't go that way. There's no one they are harder on than themselves, but even with all that energy put into self-reflection and recrimination they still have plenty left over for any potential date.
This earth sign has a very grounded view of life, they don't want to get too caught up in flights of romantic fancy — at least not for very long — so they are looking at similarly grounded and realistic partners. They are turned on by ambition, level-headedness, optimism, and structure, all of which make them feel safe and secure enough to open up. So, it may take a bit of time to fully woo a Virgo. Fortunately, they are worth the wait because when you have a Virgo’s heart they give you everything.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 — Jan. 19)

Capricorn is busy, OK! Too busy in fact to be messing around with dating games and all the drama that comes with it. Ruled by Saturn, the planet associated with ambition and structure, they tend to put most of their energy into their career, singularly focused on pursuing the kind of life that they have worked so hard to create. That means dating comes second.
When Capricorn is ready for romance they still only have time for potential paramours who are on the same page about not playing any games. They are seeking someone independent and mature who can easily fit into their life. And if you do land a date with a Cap don’t be surprised if they've thoroughly Googled you beforehand, they like to do their research.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 — Feb. 18)

Aquarius is a highly independent sign. They also tend to cultivate a very close-knit and beloved friend group and don't require a lot of emotional connection sexually, so many of their needs are met while they are still enjoying the single life. This also means they are in no rush to settle or lower their standards, even to a reasonable level, for the sake of finding love.
When they are ready to get serious, it's all about finding someone who fully embraces them for the unique creature they are, who won't try and change them, and who understands that Aquarius needs space and to take things at their own pace. It's why oftentimes this sign ends up updating people already in their life, whose friendship has evolved into something romantic over time.
