Who better to teach kids about bullying than TV's most nefarious cheerleading coach? Jane Lynch, best known as the glaring Sue Sylvester in Glee, has channeled her inner mean girl into creating a children's book titled Marlene, Marlene, Queen of Mean that she hopes will teach kids a thing or two about bullying.
In the book, Marlene acts like the queen of the school, intimidating all the other kids with her cruel ways. One day though, big Freddy decides to stand up to Marlene and tell her exactly what everybody thinks of her.
The whole book uses a rhyme and rhythm perfect for reading out loud to little ones and features lines like this: "You see, it's a breeze to learn how to tease: it's harder, sometimes, to be decent." Co-written by former children's book editor A. E. Mikesell and clinical psychologist Lara Embry (who is also Lynch's ex!), Marlene is sure to be both hilarious and educational. Pre-order it now or wait for the book's September 23 release date to check it out!
