As if we couldn't love the singer-songwriter any more than we already do!
Singer-songwriter FKA Twigs is standing up for the transgender community in the UK and around the world! The 32-year-old British songstress tweeted her support of trans rights today.
"Given this platform, and given the current push against trans people across the UK, it feels super important to also say: Trans rights. Within SWARM we stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ movement especially at this time, trans people, given the push to rollback trans rights!"

Twigs allowed SWARM, which stands for Sex Worker Advocacy and Resistance Movement, to take over her Twitter account earlier this week to share their important work.
Controversy around transgender rights has been brewing for months now after a Scottish man was outed to his coworkers through a data error involving the gender on his birth certificate. He then decided to legally change his gender through the gender recognition certificate, and advocates are calling for a reform to the Gender Recognition Act for an easier self-identification and recognition process of transgender and nonbinary people, with Scottland is actually in support of.
But now, notables like J.K. Rowling, Boris Johnson, trans-exclusionary radical feminists (TERFs), and many more are pushing back against the measures, weaponizing transphobic rhetoric that makes trans and nonbinary people's existences harder. Activists are worried the culture wars brewing around the UK could become as toxic as they were in 2018 when they reached a critical peak, according to CNN.
Twigs recognizes that this is a critical juncture in fighting for their rights. "Standing with trans people is super important given this current environment, and our network and movement is full of amazing trans people!" she said. "We cannot say this loudly enough: TRANS RIGHTS NOW."
"The conversation around GRA reform in the UK has been hijacked by cis feminists who seek to persecute trans people to placate their own prejudices, it’s time to speak out and stand up for trans people through organisations like @Genderintell @ScottishTrans & @allabouttrans."
