This Hero Drowned Out Antigay Protestors With Her Bagpipes

What better way to drown out hate than with the overpowering sound of bagpipes?

A Florida Gulf Coast University student hilariously took matters into her own hands when a group of antigay protestors started spewing their hate speech on campus.

According to NewNowNext, FGCU political science student Brice Ehmig was yelled at by street preachers for holding her girlfriend's hand. Instead of getting angry at them, however, she decided to get even, drowning out their noise with that of (get this) some old school, Scottish bagpipes.

"I have seen too much tragedy in the LGBTQ community to let a man in cargo pants tell me I am the embodiment of sin. I am a gay bagpiper and I’m proud," Brice told Gay Star News. "I decided since this is my last year at university that I should do things that make me feel brave."

Brave is an understatement. Not only did Brice handle herself well in front of some hateful people, but she did it in a peaceful and nonviolent (albeit loud) way. You go, Brice!
