Jay Leno nailed it when he called lesbian comedian Cameron Esposito "the future" of comedy. That future is happening right now as Esposito's new comedy album, Same Sex Symbol, has already reached number 1 on iTunes in less than 24 hours.
Recorded over two sold-out shows in Portland, Esposito's razor-sharp wit and animated delivery makes her observations on growing up gay and Catholic seem new and fresh. All 18 tracks are woven together so seamlessly that the album is over before you're ready to be done laughing. The tracks, "Woman Who Doesn't Sleep With Men," "Threesome Proposition," "Lesbian Pornography," and "Guacamole," are a great sample platter of jokes if you need to whet your appetite before committing to the whole album.
Earlier this year, Esposito was named one of The Advocate's 40 Under 40 and is currently touring the U.S. Details can be found here.
