When you're a femme queer girl, people will tell you that "you're not gay enough," or you are "confused," but any queer femme girl knows that isn't true.
Here are 10 reasons you should date a femme girl:
1. Femininity is super hot—duh.
Thought it would be good to just start with this and cross it off the list.
2. She’s comfortable with who she is.
Any femme will acknowledge that being apart of community can be difficult, which only means that femmes have to own their identity—a shape that looks good on everyone.
3. She’s overcome adversity.
Speaking to the fact that she has to catch bullshit from straight people saying she doesn’t look gay enough (“you might as well date men,” “maybe it’s a phase,” “are you sure?”) and from LGBT people who refuse to recognize/believe/acknowledge them as their people.
4. She will be strong willed.
Due to the fact that a lot of people have harped on her since she came out, and in order to get past people’s preconceived crap, she has to push through with some force.
5. She’ll help you realize your inner confidence.
You can’t be mad that she’ll encourage you both to feel #flawless every. damn. day.
6. She will play devil’s advocate for you.
Ultra-feminine women have a lot of mothering qualities to them, and one of those is that she’ll try to look at something from all sides.
7. She’ll have a no-nonsense attitude.
Ya, she’s totally not going to take your shit. At least, not for long.
8. She’ll nurture you.
Because she loves to love—but of course she’ll only do it if you deserve it (and you just wait and see how she’ll nurture your future pets and/or babies).
9. She’ll compliment the homemaker qualities you don’t naturally have.
Because she probably had some older woman figure who took them under their wings as children, and showed them how to do fucking everything (or is this just latinas)?
10. In the most non-explorative way possible, she’ll wear clothes that are sexy.
Let’s be real, feminine women, whatever sort of style they have, will wear things you find sexy, because why else would you have been attracted to her? I’m more of the tight jogger sweats, sports bras under low cut tanks, sort of girl.
