The galaxy far, far away just got a little bit more LGBTQ+ inclusive!

In honor of Pride Month this June, Marvel Comics is releasing six special variant covers of their Star Wars comics series. According to the official Star Wars website, each cover will feature a different LGBTQ+ Star Wars character, and one of the aforementioned covers is spotlighting trans non-binary Jedi twins Terec and Ceret!

"In honor of #TransDayOfVisibility we're proud to unveil an exclusive cover highlighting Terec and Ceret, trans non-binary Jedi, currently featured in Marvel's The High Republic comic," the official Star Wars Instagram wrote in a post about the upcoming variant cover (illustrated by artist Javier Garron), in honor of Trans Day of Visibility. "We support trans lives and we are passionate and committed to broadening our representation in a galaxy far far away."

The news of Terec and Ceret gracing the cover of The High Republic's special Pride issue comes on the heels of longtime beloved Star Wars character Lando Calrissian (famously played by both Billy Dee Williams and Donald Glover in the live-action films) being confirmed pansexual in his own Pride-themed Star Wars variant cover

"This talented team of artists is bringing so much passion and enthusiasm to these covers," Marvel editor Tom Groneman said in a statement about the latest batch Pride-themed variant covers. "For me, sharing that passion with fans and readers is a wonderful celebration of the most unique, compelling, and iconic characters in the Star Wars galaxy."

Marvel's Star Wars Pride Month variant covers are set to hit your local comic book store shelves this June!
