Full disclosure: I’m a dog guy. But that doesn't mean I don’t appreciate a cat every now and again. I also do tend to like guys who have cats. And if you can’t date a guy with a dog, then I guess, you should date a guy with a cat. Here’s why:
1. Fiercely independent
Cat owners know how to take care of themselves. They know how to be alone and don’t need you to be there for them every second of the day. Cat owners let you have a life of your own.
2. Don’t have to go home to take the cat out
Dog owners always have to go home to take out the dog. You’re having this incredible night out on the town, before you know it, it’s 9:30 PM, and he needs to head back. Cat owners don’t have deal with taking the cat out.
3. They can take care of another living being
They have another living being in their house that they are taking care of, so they can definitely take care of you when you need a little extra TLC.
4. They’re a smarty pants
Turns out there are some real differences between cat owners and dog owners, one being that cat owners are actually smarter.
5. Not high maintenance
They’re not needy. Cat owners don’t make a big fuss out of things. They’re not drama queens.
6. Happy to lie around the house doing absolutely nothing
Cat owners know how to longue. They’re the ultimate chillers.
7. Owning a cat is hip
Have you seen the Internet recently? Have you typed in cat gifs into Google in the past year? The Internet is obsessed with cats on cats on cats.
